The host's helper and his wife were absolute sweethearts, cooking together and taking me around in their tuk tuk to all the attractions I wanted to visit. The owner, Opul, had an amazing sense of humor and made me feel right at home. The resort itself was quiet and serene, with a beautiful garden where I could relax for hours. The location was a bit out of town, but it was perfect for a peaceful getaway. The accommodation was simple yet clean and comfortable, and I loved the opportunity to learn how to cook an authentic Sri Lankan meal. this place exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and hospitable retreat.

The property had beautiful surroundings and the regular staff were really lovely, showing us fruit trees and herbs they grow there. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, providing a good value for money.

The WiFi strength was quite poor and the beds could have been more comfortable. However, considering the location, these were minor issues.

our second stay in dambulla was even better than before. araliya self cooking resort truly made us feel like family. upul's tuktuk tours were a highlight, and the family's cooking class was a true culinary adventure. their attention to detail and genuine warmth made a lasting impression.
